The races will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2025. The Half Marathon, 10K, and 2-mile races run on a flat course on country roads, surrounded by scenic farmland. There is water and toilets on the course. There is an early option for those expecting to take longer than 2 1/2 hours to run the Half Marathon. Participation is limited to the first 1,000 registered runners for all three races combined. Day of race registration is an option, cash or check is preferred but we will have an option for credit card.
All top participants will receive finishers' swag. Awards will be given to the male and female overall and masters winners in the Half Marathon and 10K, as well as three-deep for age group winners, per 10-year age category. No awards will be given for the 2-mile race. Early starters' results in the Half Marathon will not be considered for overall or age group awards. There will also be lots of random prize giveaways from our generous sponsors!
Packet pickup is in the junior high school gym, where race participants can relax, stretch, and stay warm. Families and friends can hang out in the gym, too. We will have a coffee cart on site courtesy of I-Jive coffee. Since the race starts and finishes right in front of the gym, you can stay inside until the last minute! Afterward, you can celebrate your accomplishments in the school's cafeteria with hot soup, coffee from I-Jive, and freshly baked cookies!
Proceeds from the race will benefit Cascade High School's track & field program, as well as provide scholarships to graduating high school seniors from the mid-Willamette Valley who wish to continue their education.
**Strollers are allowed on the race course but please give an appropriate amount of space to the other runners. Dogs are not allowed on the race course.
**Important change notice: The early start for the half marathon is now starting at 8:30 am due to requirements from the city in regards to flagging needs on the streets.
